when i was four years old i had a cough not an ordinary one it lasted for a year it got worse every day so the next day my mum and dad took me to the hospital and they checked to see what the problem was they said they weren't quite sure so they kept me at the hospital for a few more check ups. when they told me i had cancer i was frightened ,at night i could just here my mum crying telling dad about what had happened after a few days i had gotten use to not seeing my dad, sister and dog. i actually liked spending my every day in the hospital there was every game you could think of , fun activities and even a moving bed but there was one thing that was on my mind was that the doctors didn't know what type of cancer i had . three times a day i would have an injection it really hurt i would kick my legs in the air because of the pain. a little bit later they found out what type of cancer i had it wasn't infectious it was a mix it was called ganglioneuroblastoma they told me why i was coughing it was because i had this lump in my body that strangled my lungs . i spent my birthday in that hospital i had my whole family and all my favorite nurses and doctors there when i woke up that morning i saw this big box by my bed and when my mum told me to open it i was so happy there was a balloon saying get well soon a teddy and a whole other bunch of toys in there as well. i had a best friend in the hospital her name was Ellie she had cancer she had the medicine that made her hair fall off you may know her she's famous she's been on the news and everything . when i was finally out of the hospital it had been a year i finally was in my bed that was waiting at home for so long i saw my dog she was so happy to see me and the only thing that was different that i loved was the new wall paper in my bedroom it had the ocean and many sea creatures i was at home i still missed the hospital a little bit . that's my cancer story .
this is a project to call out to those people who have been effected by cancer so i hope you enjoy! thank you @unizoe for helping me make this. don't worry unizoe your still my best friend!
