I’ve wanted to do a drawing using its color scheme forever but yesterday specifically I was listening to the lyrics and thinking about Steven because that’s what I do with every song AND I GOT TO THE LYRIC “tell me that I’m alright, that I ain’t gonna die” AND OH MY GOD “how do I live a life that always feels like I’m about to die” THATS IT I HAD TO DRAW IT WITH STEVEN LIKE THE LYRICS DESCRIBE HIS SITUATION TOTALLY IT SOUNDING HAPPY AND UPBEAT BUT THE LYRICS BEING DEPRESSING IS LIKE TOTALLY A METAPHOR FOR HOW STEVEN IS TRYING TO KEEP UP THE ACT OF EVERYTHING BEING FINE ASKING WHERE HE SHOULD GO AND WHAT HE SHOULD DO IS EXACTLY WHAT HE'S BEEN DOING LAUGH WHILE YOU CRY IS EVERYONE NOT UNDERSTANDING AND MAKING JOKES WHEN STEEB IS FEELING DISTRAUGHT AND LEGIT EVERYTHING PERFECTLY DESCRIBES HOW STEVEN FEELS THROUGH THE EPISODES WE'VE SEEN AND I HAD TO DRAW IT So... I drew it. I finished this yesterday and decided to post it on scratch because why not BUT BRO PARAMORE ROCKS AND THIS SONG DESCRIBES STEVEN’S FEELINGS RN PERFECTLY I KNOW I SAID THAT ABOUT FLORA CASH BUT THIS IS MORE HIS FEELINGS THAN WHATS PHYSICALLY HAPPENING TO HIM also hint hint nudge nudge wink wink wormy boi horns in the bottom left shhhhhhhhhh dont tell tumblr Fun fact- I drew this on Procreate and all the colors used are all colors on the album cover for this song (the album After Laughter) in some way, shape, or form! Even his skin color! It’s supposed to represent how scrambled Steven is right now and how he wishes everything was fine I really tried to capture the energy of the song through the palette the album cover uses, and I feel like I did...........okay, to say the most I’m not super proud of this but I feel like it looks good and captures Steven’s feelings right!
