I have 4 hens. Poppy and Ginger are Rhode Island reds, and Dixie and Maybelle are Light Brahmas. We got 2 more chicks, Lavender and Jojo, (My sisters chicks) they are Sapphire Gem chickens. But every morning around 9:30, all of my hens lay eggs. And they will only lay in 1 area. Our deceased cat old home. Its just a little box that is leaned against the fence. But, my nice hen, Dixie, will scream at the top of her lungs until she can sit down to lay. ANd while shes doing that, my leader hen, (And favorite, dont tell them!) will stay on her egg for hours. So my other hen, Maybelle, will go up, and try to shove her of the nest, while my other hen is screaming. My other hen, Poppy, just pecks around in the dead grass while this is happening.
