Prologue 20 moons ago- Harepaw rushed to the border, the leaves of leaf-fall crackled under her paws as the back-up patrol sped to the river. Brightclan was attacking again! This was her time to show Littlestar that she was capable of being a warrior. Soon screeches of pain and envy rang in her ears and she shoved all her energy into reaching the boarder. Jaggedpaw was right on her heels, and Harepaw still didn’t know why his mentor let such a young apprentice who was basically a kit, fight for his clan! Harepaw reached the river and picked out a little warrior to fight. “Go!” her mentor, Willowheart, the former leader who decided to resign screeched as he jumped down the hill with his mighty paws. Harepaw rushed into battle, and came up behind on the short, silver warrior and jumped onto her back and dug her claws into her shoulders. The warrior screeched in pain and instantly rolled onto her back, barely squashing Harepaw. Harepaw flung her off and the warrior ran away, stunned. Another warrior, a bigger one this time crashed into her side. Harepaw ducked and as he ran over her painfully as she got back up. Harepaw bit down on his tail hardly as he came to a sudden stop. He whisked around and reared up as Harepaw hesitated and heavily crashed down on her, pinning her down. “This territory will soon be ours-.” He sneered into her ear, but then got cut off as he yoled in pain. Jaggedpaw suddenly appeared out of no-where on the massive warriors back with his small sharp teeth dug deeply into his scruff. The warrior got off Harepaw and tried to shake Jaggedpaw off, but that only made him hang on harder. Soon all the Brightclan warriors were fleeing, and the tom warrior took off too. ** “Harepaw, from now on you will be known as… Harecall. Starclan honours you for your courage and determination.” Harecall! Harecall! Harecall!!! Harecall touched noses with her leader, Littlestar as pride welled up inside her. Her journey had just begun…
