Just one backdrop on this one. Please judge my poem and not the layout, I don't have time for these fancy stock images and fonts, just read the words. NOTE: I reshared this. It was originally shared on 11th April 2020.
This is my entry for the contest by the CWYP Contest Studio. The topic was "A poem about Spring", so I guess I made a poem about spring. A small explanation: It mostly follows the theme of Britain in this time, just after the winter is over. Winter here is brutal- Game-Of-Thrones-style rain, and wind, and then more rain. Rarely snow, either. The cold has far less liberties than Russia or Canada. But in the past few weeks, summer has been making its way. Our whole world is becoming light again and the birds have returned from migration. However, the toll of Covid-19 is rising here, and people are dying in the midst of this extra-beautiful spring. The Earth is not part of this; its part is the graveyards.
