This is literally the creepiest Disney song to ever exist- So, I mean, why not? :DD Press space or click on him to get him to stop gliding up and down and see the full picture. :P --- Full Name: E'raaval, ' Concealed One ' (pronounced 'eh ruh-VAHL') Gender: Male, but mostly referred to as an 'It' Age: 70-80 Years, Human Equivalent of a Young Adult Species: Shaa'leepian Tropics Serpent Abilties: Short-term flight - Long Distance Gliding - Can Absorb Ultraviolet Light Through Scales To Slightly Alter Its Color and Blend in With Its Surroundings - When Threatened, Can Release All Stored Light, Dazzling Its Scales With A Sudden, Vibrant Spectrum of Color To Distract Potential Predators; Can Also Generate A Concentration of Energy In the Crescent That Tips Its Tail As A Dim Light Source or To Slightly Burn Anything That the Sphere Comes Into Contact With (Later on develops Hypnosis, for... Evolutionary reasons. >:) ) Personality: Soft-spoken, Easily Agitated, Inconclusive, and above all, Subtle, in everything it does. E'raaval is quick to find fault and takes amusement in being 'sharper' than its rivals. While not outright evil, it does not exactly classify as a 'good' creature either, having no misgivings as far as trickery and ambushing goes. E'raaval often interacts with greater species than itself and offers its services as a skilled free-lance. In particular, it has been known to be a remorseless predator itself, doing whatever it takes to survive in its disbalanced ecosystem, complete with several apex species and far too many imposing hervibores. As far as it is concerned: the only way one can survive in the middle of prey and predator is by bending to the will of the apex species. Backstory: E'raaval was once an average forest creature. Like all wild serpents, it did not have a name, for it never required one. Of course, that was before the Second Rise of Phoenomena occurred. After the first Rise, formerly non-threatening creatures gained otherworldly abilities which allowed them to ascend past the dragons to the top of the food chain. With the second Rise, the reign of serpents on Shaa'leep swiftly dwindled, and one by one, species after species of dragon-like creature grew endangered, and eventually extinct. Desperate for survival, E'raaval did something no other serpent would do - it betrayed its own kind. Concealing itself in a grove, it went unnoticed as it viewed an approaching pack of beast-like mammals near the nesting grounds of its species. It had plenty of chance to alert its kind. But it did not. And the starving creatures tore through the grounds, decimating the area that was once home to one of the last few colonies of Shaa'leepian Tropics Serpent. After this, the serpent grew more and more detached from its feelings, until one day it confronted a group of predators from hiding and offered to scout out prey for them. In return, the predators took down a massive herbivore and offered it a minuscule share of their kill. It was enough, however, to survive. Over time, the serpent tracked down different groups of predators and made itself known to them, finding prey using its stealthy serpentine build, and leading each to it in return for a small share. Over time, it even began to be referred to by a name - "E'raaval" - the One Who Conceals. Perhaps it does not live in a way that would earn the approval of any other serpent with dragon-like values, but at least it lives. And as far as E'raaval is concerned - to live is plenty and enough. --- Other: - When it narrows its eyes, its normally slit pupils disappear almost completely. - The vibrant yellow spots along its sides and face are optional since it generally 'conceals' them in order to go unnoticed. - It is far better at gliding than flying due to the fact that it lengthy tail creates significant drag. However, when it is put in a situation where it must fly rapidly, it swirls its tail behind itself as it flies in order to reduce drag by creating motion. - It used to have an egg-tooth on its nose the same shade as its horns, but it lost it by the time it was 5 years old.
Partially evil characters are honestly the best kind for me- I may have accidentally made his scales too green. :P On another note- I originally wasn't going to use any music but then I remembered how much I love Kaa- I wanted to use the original one because it's waaaaay better (and, conveniently enough, it doesn't creep me out every time I hear it-) but, unfortunately, I couldn't exactly... Find it... :P --- CREDITS --- Song - Trust in Me from The Jungle Book (2016) Draw to Adopt Hosted by @alulatu Programs Used: Animation - Scratch (Bitmap) Art - Autodesk Sketchbook 'Tis all. XP
