Press the green flag and the project will start. This is what I did for my at-home experiment. ~ABOUT ENERGY~ Potential energy is stored energy. When an object is still or not moving, it has potential energy. Kinetic energy is energy that is motion. When an object is moving, it has kinetic. Potential and Kinetic are the main two energies but there are also lots of little types of energies that fit into these two categories. Some Kinetic energies are radiant (light), thermal (heat), sound, electrical, and mechanical. The types of Potential energies are a bit different because they are mostly specific objects that have potential, not actual energies with names like the ones I listed for Kinetic. For example, a rock sitting on the edge of a cliff has potential energy. One little gravitational nudge and it is off and falling down with kinetic energy. A rubber band is a better example, though, because when you hold it back, it has potential energy ready to be released. You let go and WAM! It flings forward with kinetic energy.
Science class :) hi Mrs. Senechal!
