Eyy here we go bois another DTAE ——— Press space or tap for a sketch of him as a Fteroto/Ossacervi hybrid, and press the up arrow for a little animation ——— Name: Hajin Species: I drew him as a cat, but if I win him I plan to change him into a hybrid of two of my original species Gender: Male Personality: Bouncy little pure bean Likes: Meadows, berries, caterpillars, flowers Dislikes: Beetles, caves, bees, hedgehogs (They’re scary!) Writing: ——— Hajin’s eyes narrowed. His body tensed. One wrong move, and it could all be over. His ears flicked upwards as he leapt, springing off his hindquarters and landing square on his target. The creature buzzed angrily in his paws, causing Hajin to let go in surprise. The beetle flew out, landing right on his face. Hajin let out a, mind you, very terrifying squeal. “ITS TRYING TO EAT MEEEEEE” he wailed to his mother, who was sunbathing nearby. “For stars sake, Hajin, would you leave the beetles alone?” She replied. Hajin poutily swatted the insect off his muzzle, trotting over to his mother. “You’re no funnnn. I wish dad was here. He plays beetle raiders with me.” Hajin’s mother gently reached up a paw and placed it under Hajin’s chin. She admired her son’s unique markings, so similar to the skull of his father. “You do take after him, don’t you...” she smiled. “Here, lie down. Have you ever tried my fun?” She playfully knocked Hajin over with her paw. “Close your eyes. Do you feel the sunlight?” Hajin was hesitant, but he imagined reaching up for the sky, to grab the sun in his paws just like with the beetles. Hajin opened his eyes a bit, looking over at his mother. “Ma!” He cried. “You’re glowing!” His mother glanced over, which caused the glowing to stop. “Well, yes.” She blinked. “I’m a Fteroto. A light spirit. You are as well, you know.” “But... Papa said I was an Ossacervi, like him! That’s why I’m all skeleton-y and you aren’t!” Hajin replied, not meaning to sound so accusing. His mother blinked, obviously offended. “I need to start monitoring you and your father.” She said coldly, but her tone warmed up. She pulled Hajin in closer. “You are both, my love. It makes you different, but it also makes you strong. A light spirit and a death spirit? Together, they are beautiful. Now, go play. Your father will be here soon to take you home for the night.” Hajin scampered off excitedly. He didn’t seem as bothered about his parentage as his mother. “I just hope,” Hajin’s mother muttered under her breath, “That nothing stops you.” ———
