This is part 1 of 3 parts of creating your own interactive arts! If you would like to see an example of Interactive augmented art in action, go check out part 3 "Interactive Image Project Template" - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391531656/ Step 1: - Pick a free HD image of your own choice to compile! (see bottom of instructions for link to my recommended source for these images) - Once you have your image, set it as the new background costume of this project by uploading the image from your computer. - Change the costume to vector mode so you can select the image and format it as you wish. - IMPORTANT: The image you see on your screen is the image that will be compiled. Step 2: - Press the green flag to run the "scanScreen" script. - This part of the process takes awhile. On average, the script takes 20 minutes to finish running. This is around 0.5% every 6 secods. - You can see the % variable on the top left side of the screen to see the progress of the script. - While waiting for the script to finish, feel free to do other things. - IMPORTANT: Make sure you check on the script from time to time to ensure it is still compiling. - Once the script is done, the image will be rendered onto the screen Step 3: - (If you are planning on remixing the "Interactive Image Project Template" in order to share your ineractive image with scratch, import the "colorData" list onto your computer for later use) - Copy the text in the list "listOutput" by triple clicking the tect and once all selected press "ctrl" + "c" at the same time - Then go on to one of the following image augmentation compilers for Part 2 of creating your own interactive arts!: 1. Blur - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391505948/ 2. Grey Scaled - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391561002/ 3. Color Switcher 1 - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391561462/ 4.
