She floated in front of the lost traveler- her nose, bleeding and her face and hands a pale blue. She had gotten lost in the woods during a winter storm, and had died from hypothermia. Her body was never found. Now, anytime a traveler gets lost, she guides them to a town, warning them not to rest, and not to sleep. When they reach the town, she fades away, to help others, to avoid the fate she meet.
This went through some phases, she was gonna be a wendigo, then a Yuki-Onna, now she is a lost spirit, guiding people to civilization to avoid hypothermia.
