Color VS Chromovores is my second true multiplayer game, and it's a spiritual successor to Claim to the Tiles. This one's a cooperative multiplayer game, although a competitive gamemode also exists. To learn more about the game, click the "Go To Guide" button on the title screen.
Credit goes to my sister for the initial idea for the game. Originally, the Chromovores were going to be part of a gamemode that I was planning to add to Claim to the Tiles. However, when I found out that Claim to the Tiles had hit the 5 MB Scratch project JSON size limit (and hence could not be given a Homestretch Update or anything of the sort), my sister suggested that I create a separate game based on the concept of the Chromovores. My sister proposed a design for the Chromovores as well, which ultimately became the design for the Chromovore Canine. However, aside from the idea to make the concept its own game and the Chromovore Canine design, I thought of pretty much every detail for this game. Changelog: 1.3 [The Colorful Update] (Dec. 5, 2020): Added four new colors (Maroon, Cornflower, Strawberry, and Bronze), improved the Chromovore Queen's intelligence, fixed bugs, rewrote a bunch of the code to save space and streamline updates, made several more small changes... but there's one huge new addition: Counter-Chromovores. The "Chromovore Color" option has been added, allowing you to play with Chromovores of any type that color tiles instead of emptying them. To go along with this, there's also a new Chromovore type, the Chameleon Chromovore. 1.2 [The Player Option Update] (Nov. 27, 2020): Added a third page of other options, which contains seven options: Ink Loss Mode, Ink Loss Percentage/Amount, Player Ink Maximum (the maximums of some other options have been changed to account for this one), Player Turns per Round, Random Starting Coloring, Directional Movement Amount, and Extra Last Turn. 1.1 [The Movement Update] (Nov. 25, 2020): It's been half a year since this game came out, but it's finally gotten an update. Added a second page of other options, which contains six options: Chromovore Movement Speed, Chromovore Movement Amount, Player Movement Maximum, Player Movement Directions, Chromovore Movement Directions, and Special Paint Directions. Also, depending on some other settings, Movement Ink Cost and Recharge Ink Gain can now be set to zero, and fixed a bug where the Swarmmind Hand would softlock the game if there were less than three players. 1.0 [Color vs. Chromovores's release] (May 24, 2020): Game released, with 32 colors, 11 utensils, 18 Chromovore types, 2 gamemodes, and 6 other options.
