You begin with one or more villagers. Click on the villagers, and then click where you want them to go. They will automatically collect resources as they encounter them. When you have enough resources, you can click on the build button to build buildings. Your resources are indicated by the Lumber and Stone variables at the top right of the screen. A house will produce one more villager, and a barrack will produce one man-at-arms every thirty seconds. Buildings can only be built on cleared spaces. You can click on men-at-arms, and then click where you want them to go. Or you can hit the Select All button at the bottom right to select them all at once; hit it again to deselect them. Men-at-arms will automatically attack enemy that come within their sight range, although you will have to give some orders manually. You can stop these attacks by clicking and holding on them, and then redirecting them in the manner above. You must build your army before the enemy attacks. The number of minutes you have left to do so is indicated by the timer at the top right of the screen. If the enemy destroys your town center at the top left of the screen, you lose the game. The life of you town center is indicated in the orange box above right of your town center. Keep in mind that houses, barracks, and villagers can also be destroyed, and some enemy will target these specifically. These instructions are also summarized in the Instructions box at the top left of the screen.
Credits: – The villager and man-at-arms costumes are from Brink of War by @dnew0275 with some recoloring. – The barrack and house costumes are from Age of Empires sprites by @c1ff. Thanks to both of these people, @dnew0275 especially, who made building this project much easier, as I am not the best in the graphics department, especially in the latest version of Scratch. The town center in this game can attest to this.
