So she went to go live with her grandmother. Her grandmother was kind, patient, and was there for Kirah for a long time. She would take her to the nearby beach. It wasn’t a long walk. Oma (what she called her grandmother) was making her life better each day. That is why she was so devastated when her Nana got sick. On the 9th of April Oma Passed. She was then 14 years old. Kirah now had nowhere to go. That was the last of her family. Kirah went to the beach still, but not as much. The beach reminded her of her Oma. It made her want to cry. One day, she heard her Oma’s voice in the waters. So she came back the next day... she heard it again. This went on for about 2 weeks, when Kirah decided to check it out. She called out. No answer. She tried again. No answer. But the third time she tried, she her her Oma. She asked where she was, and her Oma replied... “in the sea, my child. For my heart has always loved it.” Kirah started to cry. But when she turned around, she saw her grandmother. Not as a solid, but as a... ghost. She stared at her, still crying “Oma?” She mumbled? She broke out into tears. Her Oma sat next to her. She took off a pendent from her transparent neck. “My father gave this to me. He said it was my great great great grandmothers.” Oma handed it to her. It was a necklace. A solid necklace. Not transparent. Oma attached it around her neck. It was a wooden detailed necklace. Kirah started to cry, but when she looked back at her Oma, she was gone. But this time Kirah smiled, for she knew her Oma was with her. I didn’t do ta square
