I didn't change much, I just simplified the palette so it's only six colors, gave it a little perspective, and hue-shifted it more aggressively. I recommend this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNtMAxYaGyg) video tutorial by Brandon James Greer to get a better grasp of hue-shifting, as I learned quite a lot from it. This version is far from perfect though, and not better than yours, just differently styled.
