This is my entry for quilt! It took a loooooooooooooooong time! I hope everyone likes it :) A good title: a quilt for Quilt. Quilt likes hats and books. His favorite place is the library. He might have a little bit of depression (because of Buttons, read below). He dislikes cats who talk a lot and sad movies.
Quilt slowly padded to his little abandoned shed. He was tired, and he felt like more and more stuffing left his ear every day. All he wanted to do is sleep soundlessly under his quilt. Working at his shop was exhausting. Quilt patched up old scarfs and made new mittens, and followed the latest trend. A few cats bought the items from his shop, others asking to repair there clothing. But we’re the shop lay, it didn’t get much visitors. But Quilt still worked there everyday, stitching and knitting. As the door to his shed creaked open, light filled the shed. He could see his wooden bunk bed. His quilt lay there peacefully, beckoning him to settle in. Quilt slept on the bottom bunk. The top bunk was empty, waiting for someone to rest on it’s sheets. Quilt remembered when he lived with his older sister, Buttons. She loved the old shop. She woke up every day with a smile spread across her face. It always warmed Quilt up. He lived for it. Buttons had started the shop, named after her. She was a fast knitter, and always made the customers happy. When Buttons past away, Quilts eyes filled with stingy hot tears as he sewed sleeves to shirts. She was losing more and more stuffing day after day, coughing up a storm. Buttons had always kept a diary. But diary’s weren’t for Quilt. Quilt had his very own quilt with all of his feelings. There was the bad ones, like anger, and the good ones, like happiness. He even had one for sleepiness, because he was often tired. In the corner, he had a picture of him and Buttons, sleeping. That represented love. Since Quilt was a slow sewer, he had to work longer to keep up with work. He kept coming home later and later. But the shop was getting less and less business, so Quilt had to move to another place soon. The shop location would be moved. Quilt would miss the old shop, and his shed. He would get a new one. But it probably wouldn’t be as good as this one. Quilt decided that he better figure out his problems in the morning. Quilt lay under his quilt, here in his shed for the last time.
