It's done. This is what happens when I'm bored and I have lots of extra time. A really long MEME. To the entire song of Ticking, which has a million MEMEs of it out there. Here's the sections, along with the characters, broadcasts (for fun) and my thoughts on it. Section 1 (broadcast:intro) Just your usual intro stuff. Section 2 (broadcast: first) I was originally going to not include this in the final product. But the sound editor had other ideas. So now you get most of the cat's silhouettes. In order of appearance: Kami Zora Luna Kozzie Xelan Anya Section 3 (broadcast: glide) This is really just to fill space before the actual MEME. That eye thing is there because I had no idea where to put it. Section 4 (broadcast: hoi) These two aren't in the first two sections. In fact, I don't even know what to name them. They are fairly important to Zora and the other's story. Also, my broadcast names start to deteriorate from here on out. Section 5 (broadcast: idk) Yep, bad broadcast name. These two are in the same situation (not in their story) as the section above. They are mentor and apprentice, and I do have a backstory for both groups. I just don't think I have the space to put it here. Section 6 (broadcast: three) Ah, here we go. Zora and Xelan are two of the OCs that I've used lately. I got a bit bored with the position, so now they are back to back. They don't exactly like each other, since Xelan is a bandit and Zora really tries to follow the rules. From left to right: Zora Xelan Section 7 (broadcast: kittays) Introducing... my cats! Yeah, I put my cats in this story. It really needed an upbeat group with all of the suspicion being thrown around. In the story, their main focus is to get as much fun out of life as possible. They are wanted for minor crimes in a few towns. In order of appearance: Kozzie Kami Luna Section 8 (broadcast: meow) Here they are! I don't have much to say on this, except that the timing sucks. From left to right: Kozzie Kami Luna Section 9 (broadcast: insert thing here) Alright, new cat (that I also haven't named) and a picture of each of the groups that we have gone through. The new cat is the villain of this whole thing, though he honestly doesn't look very villainous with these bandits and such as protagonists. Also, more new cats! In order of appearance, then left to right: Villain First two cats Second two cats Zora Xelan Kozzie Luna Kami Anya Dalre Section 10 (broadcast: all) Nope, it didn't glitch. The black siding is gone, and it is a rerun of the characters. Coding this wasn't horrible, but the timing is. I also forgot to draw Anya with her powers both here and in the thumbnail. Whoops. And I recently won Dalre in a DTA (thanks !) So far he's only been in MEMEs, so that's something I'll have to change. Section 11: (broadcast: I'm done!) Haha the broadcast shows how I felt. This took so long and so much energy. But it feels great to see such a project get done! I hope I haven't been rambling with this lol. In order of appearance: The black cat I haven't named The Siamese-looking cat with scars I haven't named Xelan And, last but not least, Thanks for watching! (And reading!)
I did the coding and art, and Ticking is by TIN (?) Alright, I have space here, so I'm gonna put what I have of the story here. So, the first two cats are both in some group that does something (spies, maybe?) The group's animal is a bird for some reason. The one with the cape upsets the villain. I think I'll have them be family members, and the villain is big on honor and dislikes that his niece is a spy. I'm just making this up as I go. So, some big catastrophe happens including the three of them. Maybe the organization the two are in fails spectacularly? Their enemy rushes in, and the city loses. And pretty much everyone dies. Bad ending for all involved. So all three of them are spirits now, and it turns out that the black cat can reverse time once. The villain/uncle wants to make sure they learn from their mistakes, and the two just wants to fix what went wrong. When they manage to turn time without any complications (the black cat's magic is pretty unstable) they find that the world is a bit different than they remember it. In this timeline, the organization they were in didn't exist. Worse yet, the citizens somehow had no magic, so they couldn't be seen. But the uncle still exists in this timeline, and he remembers everything that had happened. So now he wants to destroy the two's chance at making it somewhat better. They are also stuck in this timeline. So they manage to contact the cat with the scar, a hunter that also defends a town from the beasts in the forest. He has an apprentice, the other black cat. (This is going to be confusing) It turns out that the two black cats have some sort of connection where they can always find each other. In a nutshell, the uncle succeeds in completely ruining the timeline and the mentor sacrifices himself to save the apprentice, who dies anyway. Another bad ending. But they aren't done yet, and the unstable magic they used brings them into another timeline. They don't even know haw many tries they have. And so, the rest of the cats come in. During their first try, the two that started all of this noticed that events might be different, but the inhabitants were somewhat similar. So they were surprised when the group they encountered consisted of four, not two. Zora and Xelan were the two that should have been there, while Anya and Dalre really shouldn't have. Dalre was an unfortunate bystander the last two times, and Anya didn't even exist. So now they all are in quite the pickle, because the uncle/villain's back. And I'm going to stop here, because I don't think many people are going to read all of that mess.
