welcome to the pond! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- As you begin your journey as a tadpole, you should know that in the pond their are many predators. It would be wise to avoid these predators, if you wish for the game to continue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ arrow keys: provide movement space key: to eat. z key: to show frog size. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ to grow as a tadpole you will start out life eating the plentiful algae that floats about the pond. later, you will grow larger, and after metamorphosis, you will become a frog. to know whether or not you are big enough to take on larger prey, wait until your would be predators begin to avoid you. that way you will become aware that they are now your prey. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- some useful things to know: algae: will be the first thing you eat, as you grow though, you will have to move onto larger prey fresh water shrimp: are able to harm you when you are smaller than a size of ten, otherwise they are prey dragon fly nymph's: are able to harm you when you are smaller than a size of twenty five, otherwise they are prey (they eat shrimp) diving beetles: are able to harm you when you are smaller than a size of thirty five, other wise they are prey (they eat dragon fly nymph's) water boatman: are able to harm you when you are smaller than the size of forty two, otherwise they are prey (they eat dragon fly nymph's) storks: can harm you at any size (they eat water boatman and diving beetles) turtles: are able to scare off all predators except stalks newts: cannot harm you unless they are eaten, then they become poison (they eat algae) hahaha! there are no cheat codes here!
