I have recently been learning a bit of ASL (American Sign Language), so I thought I would make a project to teach people. The alphabet is a good starting place when learning sign language, so hopefully, you can learn something from this! If there are any bugs or glitches, please tell me and I can do my best to fix them. ------------------------------Features--------------------------------------- Game- If you do the game, it is just a quiz-like thing. Not really much of a video game or anything, but try to get as many right as possible, and maybe even beat the high score! Full chart- It is just a full chart of all the letters, just in case you need a reference for a specific one. Learn- In the "learn" mode, it includes the video feature so that you can match your hand to the picture. Although it might not line up perfectly, you can use the images as a guide when learning and making sure that your hand is positioned correctly. (Sorry about any low-quality images). Press "r" to flip the camera if you wish to use your other hand, just remember it's backward. Then you can go onto the next letter by pressing either arrow. I coded it so that if you wave on the arrow it goes to the next image, but that feature can get kind of glitchy and there isn't a guarantee that it will work. But if anyone has suggestions for how to improve that feature I will gladly take advice! :D -----------------------About sign language----------------------------- Sign language is a visual form of communication and commonly used for those with hearing disabilities. There are different forms of sign language, but this project is focusing on the ASL (American Sign Language) alphabet. It is focused on motioning emotions and gestures to communicate. It is also claimed to be the 3rd most used language, and is definitely fun to learn! ----------------------Notes for when signing--------------------------- - In the project, the arrows dictate movement and where your hand/finger should be moving - I was taught to use your dominant hand or whichever you are more comfortable with, although some say to use your right hand as your "dominant hand" - You might not get everything on your first try, but just remember that practicing will make you better! :) - If you have any questions about how to do something, I will try my best to answer. ---------------------------------Keys----------------------------------------- M to mute music N to turn on music R to flip camera on learn mode
