To gain points, you break the bricks. Sound easy? Use the ball to break the bricks. Should the ball ever descend away from the bricks, the paddle can bounce it back up. If you fail to do so, however, you use up a life, as displayed by a counter on the left sidebar. Rack up your score by breaking the bricks! The more times the ball hits the paddle in a life, the faster the ball goes, and the higher your multiplier gets. Sure it gets harder, but you gain more points per brick too! It resets when the ball falls. This system encourages breaking all the bricks in one fell swoop instead of relying on the multiple revive mechanic. Good luck!
I credit @Scratch-Minion 's Breakout project for the brick bounce solution. I'm not quite sure how it works... yet. EVERY SOUND IN HERE (except the splash sound effect from the Scratch sounds repository) IS MADE BY ME. With beepbox. Check it out. :D I thought I'd share it so people can watch me develop and commit to this project. It's incomplete. I'd say it's about 70% done though. Please provide suggestions if you can, much appreciated! - Revive counter done - Score counter done - Sound done - Winning, losing, and restarting done - Most assets have been drawn - Game 90% scripted - Only one level
