I recommend going up to at least an order 8 curve to get the good definition. However, order 7 and above cuves can take a decent amount of time to load, due to the length of the related variables. There is a small variable called counter at the bottom of the screen. If that's still counting, the program is still running, just taking time. I strongly recommend turbo mode, which can be activated by holding shift while clicking the green flag.
This uses a L-writing system to generate the instructions for the curve. The Hilbert Curve was discovered by David Hilbert in 1891, and the specific system I'm using, L-writing, or a Lindenmayer writing system, was developed in 1968 by Aristid Lindenmayer. The specfic set of grammar and protocal for this curve were found on wikipedia, but are not too hard to generate.
