Click the flag Press [space] to pause and play Press E to cycle through the tools (click to use them) The grey triangle is the infection tool. This gives the infection susceptible dots. Note that infected dots can enter the city without this being done. The nasal swab is the testing tool. If "Asymptomatic" is set to 1, all the dots will be the same colour until tested with this tool. The syringe is the vaccination tool. This gives susceptible dots a vaccine which protects them for life against the infection. Sliders: Asymptomatic - makes all dots the same colour until tested. MaxPopulation - limits the number of dots allowed at any one time. Lockdown Severity - a higher value means fewer dots leaving their houses. Speed - changes the simulation speed.
Dots live in this city. They live in the pink houses and like to visit the yellow shops and green parks. However, a new disease has appeared, and anyone could catch it or die from it. When an susceptible dot (blue) spends too long near an infected dot (red), it too can become infected. The infected dot will go around as normal infecting other susceptible dots until (if it survives) it recovers and turns dark grey. It can now no longer catch or spread the disease. However, over time it may loose its immunity and become susceptible again. Susceptible dots can be vaccinated (lime green) by the user, giving them immunity without them having to catch and spread the disease. The vaccine immunity does not decay over time, and will last the dot's whole life.
