---Controls--- [1] - toggles data [2] - toggles preferences [3] - toggles policies [space] - starts a special event. Special Events (marked with a green flag) will make all the cats congregate around a certain area. These can only occur if Lockdown Severity is less then 5 and Quarantine Cases is off [space] - marks quarantine location. If quarantine cases is on, you can place a red flag and all infected cats will move towards it and stay near it. Susceptible cats will try to avoid it. [click] on susceptible cat - vaccinate. If there are more than 5 cases, a vaccine will be developed. This will be faster with more cases. When there are 2 units, the vaccine can be given to susceptible cats and turn them into vaccinated green cats. These are the same as recovered cats - they just haven't caught the virus. ---Preferences--- Infinite Virus - A binary slider where if it is one, the virus will spawn again once there are no more cases. Trigger Population - Determines how many cats have to exist before the virus is released. Default 15. Graph Speed - Determines how frequently the histogram at the bottom draws a new bar. Also affects how often viral particles are cleaned. Default 10. ---Policies--- Lockdown Severity - Determines how strict social distancing measures are. Quarantine Cases - A binary slider determining whether you can set up a quarantine flag. See Controls. Auto-Vax - A binary slider which automatically vaccinates new susceptible cats if vaccine is available. Note this will need large quantity of infected cats to be sustainable.
Over time, susceptible blue cats are born. They walk around the screen and live for on average 55 seconds before dying. When there is a total population of more than 15, a virus will appear. When a susceptible cat touches the virus, it might catch it and become an infectious red cat. Red cats will walk around leaving viral particles behind. Both the particles and the cat can infect susceptible cats. After a while, red cats will either die or recover and become grey. Recovered cats act like susceptible cats, but they cannot catch the virus again and every cat that recovers counts towards a mutation chance for a grey cat to be born in the place of a blue one.
