Okay I’m tired of staying home and I want to get out and see my friends and family but I would never ever risk the lives of others to do so. It’s selfish and I’m pulling my hair out over the people in my Latin class (specifically the teacher) who are telling everyone that this is “tyranny” and people shouldn’t have to go to jail for “exercising their rights.” They’re saying the government is letting dangerous criminals out of jail so they can put small business owners in there instead. That, I understand is not the best way to handle this as small businesses need the money but how about the president actually thinks about the people of his country and gives the small businesses money to live off of until this pandemic is over? I mean he calls the WHO liars and pulls the US funds from the WHO so where is that money going? The government (local and national) is there to insure the safety of their people. Our Latin teacher was literally telling us to disobey orders and leave our houses. He said “the hospitals are empty there’s no bodies in the streets. You are fine.” Okay, so now you’re calling hospital workers all over the world fakes and oh there’s no one in the hospital who needs our help we’re just wearing masks and urging people to stay home for attention and views on social media? Theres one kid who keeps saying that it doesn’t matter because there’s only 0.02% chance of dying from this virus. I’m like okay then. Tell that to the 5 million people who are sick and to the 333,000 people who have died. How sadistic and apathetic can you be? People are dying and as long as they’re fine they don’t give a crap. Like what the hecc I know I’m young and not exactly the most informed of everything and all the details but it seems the bigger picture is that people don’t care and would rather believe their conspiracies than the truth that is in front of them don't you dare report this, i swear. i need this
