Inspired by Jimins “Lie” music video... I really like the meaning behind the song and I really encourage you to look at the meaning. I am also writing theories about the storyline behind the Bts music video’s. I am currently working on how the wings album contributes to the storyline which is based off of the music video’s “I need U”, “Run”, and “Young Forever” Jimin’s lie: First we will start off with the meaning behind lyrics and then the music video. In the lyrics it says, “Caught in a lie. Pull me from this hell. I can’t be free from this pain. Save me, I am being punished.” This verse is saying that Jimin is caught in his own lies. He is punishing himself for his mistakes. The lyrics also say, “It continues even when I run away. I am caught in a lie.” In this verse Jimin tries to run away from his own lies, but it always comes back to him. In the song he tries to find his innocence and his smile. He wants to be happy, but he is trapped. My theory is that the Wings album also contributes to the storyline. When Jimin is in the hospital (In his storyline and Lie teaser) he is trapped and he can't escape. This can symbolize Jimin being trapped in his lies, and the rest of the members' solo songs contribute to their hardships in the storyline that tear them apart. Now for the explanation for the music video, Jimin is eating an apple which represents his own innocence and pureness, and he is eating away at it. Also, Jimins circle for the wings album is a circle with a small bite taken out of it, which represents the apple in the music video. Another thing that happens in the music video is Jimin dancing in front of a bathtub. Now in the storyline which is based off of the music videos, “I need u”, “Forever Young”, and “Run” Jimin drowns himself in the bathtub. Understand the connection? This proves that there is an ongoing storyline in the music videos. Which means each music video symbolizes something in the storyline. After Jimin dances in front of the bathtub he falls in and wakes up in a hospital bed. This means that after a lie there is always another, or it is ongoing. Lastly, in the music video there is a scene where the apple falls in water. Meaning his innocence is drowning, which was his storyline.
