May take a little to load! We raise Black Ameraucana chickens, except for one day we got our first yellow chick. Unfortunately, it wasn't opening it's eyes, and it kept laying on it's back. We did our best, but couldn't keep it from getting dehydrated and starved. Eventually it had to die :( This is a loop, and will repeat. We have another chick that has a beak that has a long top and a short bottom, so it's unable to eat properly and will probably starve to death. It's 1/3 the weight of any other chick. UPDATE: It got trampled and died. For anyone who came down here, I have some chicken eyesight facts... -Chickens are farsighted on the left eye, and nearsighted on the right. -Chickens cannot see in the dark because they evolved from dinosaurs, and never had to live in the dark. -Chickens can see every colour we see and more! However, never put a chicken under a florescent light or it will get agitated.
In the memory of this chick, please do not remix unless you are sure it will get plenty of views! Give a heart for the chicks that are still alive?
