So if you haven’t seen already, I’m leaving. This is a hard decision for me because scratch has always been like a second family to me. But anyways I’m leaving scratch for several reasons. Reason 1: When I first came to scratch it was like my happy place, it made me happy, took away my stress, and I enjoyed it. But after I came back to scratch from my huge hiatus, I realized how toxic the community is getting. There was drama everywhere, and it wasn’t as fun. I started getting stressed out again, and it gave me horrible headaches. I noticed how, because of the toxic community on scratch, I was started to get mad at a lot of things, I snapped at my family and people on scratch and I just wasn’t a good person. DISCLAIMER: None of my friends on scratch aren’t toxic and I’m glad I stuck around to meet them. Reason 2: I felt jealous of those newer scratchers who got really popular. I have no idea why. I guess I just got jealous because of the fact that I have been here for 2 years and work hard on my animations and projects then suddenly some kid gets all popular on a random game. Disclaimer: Please do not get mad at me for getting jealous, I get jealous very easily. Reason 3: I was never a victim of my art being stolen but someone did remix 2 of my memes and recolored them. I was honestly really mad, because they didn’t use their own art. I always have hated how whenever someone recolors, traces, of steals art the projects never get taken down. The scratch team really needs to work on this, as this not ok and is technically illegal to do. I understand most people on scratch are just young kids not understanding what they are doing, but still, scratch needs to do something about this. Alrighty, thanks for reading through all of that.
