Update Log: 6/1/20 1.1 – Made units select from any direction 5/?/20 1.0 – Launched The black color of the bullets slightly lighter shade than the black of the units' guns. This means that blue units could be made to be controlled by the computer, and different damage could be done to them based on whether they are touching the bullet black (range attack), or gun black (bayonet – melee attack). Different units could be added (these make great templates) with different color projectiles and guns to deal different damages. This would enable a unit to be set up so it is strong in range attack, but weak in melee attack, vice versa, evenly balanced, and/or weak to attack (little health). Units could also be set up to lose life when touching the red or blue of enemy units, another type of melee combat. Range limits could also be given to bullets. Formations could also factor in, as, say, a more circular flanking formation to direct a lot of fire inward. This would be especially important with the inclusion of friendly fire, which prevents you from lining your units up and directing a stream of bullets in one narrow beam through your own into the enemy, or just making the bullets not able to fire through your own guys. Spreading units out would make it harder to hit them, instead of being one big target, unless attacking melee, when it might be better to use a tight formation. If the units were set up to move by arrow keys, like on a board, a second real player or more intelligent AI could be added to make an interesting game, especially if there were different units. I would love to see someone turn this into a real game.
