USE FULLSCREEN WHEN VIEWING FOR THE <*MAXIMUM*> EXPERIENCE. Push the flag, but do NOT hit the stop button. If you do, the sprite that is used as a "light filter" will lose its transparency and block the screen. Use headphones if you want to listen to the background music (credit to this in the notes section). #art #fanart #fanfiction #over-the-hedge #artwork #rj-and-heather

Like before, this was made completely using the Scratch costume editor. I am relatively new to this type of work and it was fun the first time so I decided to continue. ------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE LOG (Mainly for myself to see): 6/30/20: First Posted 7/3/20: Made some adjustments (shading, etc.) 7/6/20: Smoothened some stuff 7/11/20: Adjusted both characters to more closely resemble their designs from the movie (+ other improvements) 8/1/20: Some character improvements 8/9/20: Adjustments to RJ's face + Final touches ------------------------------------------------------------------ For the artwork itself, it mainly used the same strategies as the first, but with more detail. Each part of the work is its own group of sprites. Each part of the work has multiple sprites: an outline made in Vector, a color filling made in Bitmap (using Bitmap makes it significantly easier to fill in outlines with specific colors by going pixel-by-pixel), a Vector sprite for the shading of characters to add a basic 3-D effect, and a shadow sprite. These sprites are combined into a "full" sprite that contains all components for both characters. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL NOTES: This one took significantly longer to make than the first one because I had to experiment a lot with Vector mode to create something I was satisfied with. On top of that, there was a lot more tedious work that was not necessarily difficult but did take up a lot of time. Compared to the first one of these, I'd say this was a large improvement, mainly in terms of the gradient shading and overall color detail. Naturally, the first artwork required minimal 3-D elements, as I purposefully made the design of the picture very linear and straight-forward. However, this work required more 3-D detail because of the sitting positions of both characters and the background. Trying to implement 3-D elements into this image was particularly challenging, especially when I was first in an "experimentation" phase with Vector mode. I added a lot of shading elements to get at least a basic 3-D effect. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Comment with constructive criticism or suggestions on how to improve the quality of the artwork and I may occasionally update this accordingly. Like last time, I am majorly satisfied with this. Thanks if you actually read this entire section :P
