They live in cold areas such as mountains, and can be seen in the Olympics, Cascades, and Rockies(mountain ranges). They eat deer and elk, the occasional moose if they manage to take it down. If they have a smaller Kip they go for smaller prey like rabbits or eagles. Some don’t have claws, so they use their sharp t-Rex like fangs and lunge at their prey, clamping down with their powerful jaws. The ones who do have claws have a much easier time. The reason they have so many ears is because they need to hear well, as their prey often are quiet and discreet. This is the same reason for their big noses. Their big, bushy tails are to keep them warm when they curl up and sleep for the night. They hollow out cliff sides with their powerful paws, and there they will sleep as a Kip together. Nelikritus can be anthro or feral, but they are anthro most of the time. They stand about 5 feet tall when anthro and 2.5/3 feet when feral. Their big paws don’t sink into snow so they can walk on snow easily. Some have wings, and they can scout out land with an aerial view to better see what lies ahead. They are considered scouts. The ones with long fangs and claws are often considered guards, because they have ease taking down predators and prey. Some rarities are unhelpful though, like small noses or inverted paw pads. Often times a leader will have larger tails and/or long horns/extra horns, and be slightly bigger, standing at around 5’4” when anthro. When a leader dies, the delta(second in command) becomes leader and selects a new delta. Often times the new delta will be large and have bigger tails/horns, but sometimes small Nelikritus become delta because of strong spirits. They reproduce by magic, and a couple harnesses the power of ice to create a magical ice cage. They carry it around, using their tails as a cradle until the child breaks free.
