Midnight Dream: Name: Luna || Gender: female || Sexuality: Straight || Kin: Three brothers, Hope (sister), Moonleaf (Mother, deceased) || Likes: Oceans, swimming, flowers, stars || Dislikes: Boats, large birds, carrots “Luna!” I turn and see my sister, Hope, running towards me. I sigh and look back out at the sea. She stops next to me and sits. “I really am going to miss this place,” she says wistfully. The cliff overlooking the sea. Waves crash below us, slamming against the rocks. A hillside behind us, covered in flowers and grass. On the top of that hill, a lonely gravestone covered in flowers. I don’t need to see the engraving to know what it says. I used to run my paw along it, feeling the markings. 'Here lies Moonleaf, the last of the clan cats. May she find good hunting, swift water, and shelter when she sleeps. She will live forever in our hearts.' My mother used to tell us stories about the clan cats, their leaders and medicine cats, StarClan, gatherings, and everything else. ‘Nobody believes in them anymore,’ she whispered to us. ‘Nobody but me.’ I wonder if she’s in StarClan. “Maybe she sees us now,” I say to Hope. She knows what I’m talking about. “I don’t think so. It’s just a kit story,” Hope scoffed. “Cats in the stars? Grow up.” “It’s just a suggestion!” I hiss, my face hot. She opens her mouth to reply, but we’re called back to the boat by our brothers. “Come on!” they yell. “We’re going to leave without you!” Hope and I run down and leap on the boat at the last minute. The boat slowly drives out of the harbor but gradually speeds up. I watch as the hill, then the cliff disappears, and with it, my old home. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frozen Yogurt: Name: Cherry || Gender: Female || Sexuality: Straight || Kin: Lily (Adopted sister), Echo (Adopted sister) || Likes: Exploring, candy, Ice cream || Dislikes: Being stuck, fire Echo shivered, looking at what once was her home. Charred pieces of wood scattered, every building broken and fallen. Not all of the flames were out, yet nobody dared to try and stop them. Too dangerous. Her sister’s words repeated in her head. ‘This is what happens when someone loses control. Don’t make that mistake.’ Echo closed her eyes, imagining Lily, her sister, by her side. But all she could feel was cold air. It had been weeks since Lily left, but it still hurt. It hurt more than seeing the broken bodies of the cats that didn’t survive the fire. Echo opened her eyes and saw that cats had started to move. She realized the last of the fires had gone out. Echo obediently moved to find the cats that didn’t survive. “Crystal!” a cat called out, looking for his mate. No reply. Another cat waved him over, asking if this was her. “No, thank goodness,” the first cat replied. As Echo looked around, she noticed more and more cats lying on the ground. “How many cats have we lost?” she asked out loud. Nobody heard her. It took many days to find all of the cats. Some were still missing, perhaps the ones that fled when they saw the fires start. Everybody had lost kin. Some families were completely gone. Only a few cats that were in the destruction survived, barely. But there was one kit that Echo found, crying in a hollow shelter, barely big enough. It was unharmed. No cat claimed it as theirs, so Echo was permitted to take care of it. The little kit had odd coloring, purple, pink, and white. Cherry, as she was called, grew up under the protection of this town, she was a symbol of hope after the devastation. Everybody went out of their way to protect her and keep an eye on her. She was a sweet little thing, cute and innocent. But she always wanted to explore, to go on adventures. One day, with the blessing of her town, she set off to find other towns. Echo had lost another sister and waited by the hill where Cherry left every day. She waited for days, weeks, months, until one day she saw the familiar purple and pink colored fur of Cherry. She saw another cat come up the hill and recognized her other sister. “Lily!” Echo cried, running towards her. “I thought I lost you!” and Lily, who had come a long way to see her sister, cried with her. That is how the three sisters were united, once again. Three sisters, forever.
The drawings are by @Pip--, the stories are by me. The second story is not from Cherry's perspective, is that ok?
