It's a GIF. I don't know what GIF stands for. I just searched it up. It stands for Graphic Interchange Format. Press the green flag thingy to start the GIF Note that this is a Work In Progress. Tips are appreciated. Also, this is not supposed to promote violence. Thanks.
The Winter War was an armed conflict between the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) and Finland. Despite having a lack of troops and only one working tank in their military, the Finnish army, along with Swedish and Danish volunteers, managed to fend off the Russian attack for months. As a side, to this day, Sweden still holds the record for the highest number of volunteers from any single country. Eventually, Finland was forced to cede about 10% of their territory to the USSR. Russia still holds the Karelian territories to this day. However, this was far below the USSR's expectations (they had planned to fully annex Finland, since Finland was formerly part of the Russian Empire). The little territory gained was due to the Finnish winter of 1939, which the Russians were poorly prepared for. The irony is, of course, that Russia was able to beat Germany, France, Sweden, and arguably Japan because of their cold winters. This GIF is based off of a famous picture from the Winter War. I didn't draw the binoculars. Credits to the photographer. URL is here: https://www.history.com/.image/t_share/MTU3ODc4NjAyNDQxMjM3ODMz/image-placeholder-title.jpg I drew all of the graphics. I apologize for any historical inaccuracies and recommend further research if you are interested.
