Director Colin Trevvorrow was fired from the then-titled "Episode IX" and replaced by J(ar) J(ar) Abrams to make the misfire "The Rise of Skywalker". However, in January a few pieces of concept art was released from Trevvorrow's version of the movie (going to be called "Duel of Fates"), revealing a few plot points. Kylo Ren was going to go to Mortis, Coruscant was going to make an epic return, and R2-D2 was GOING TO DIE AT THE END (that's actually a perfect way to end it all, personally), and much much more.
