*Starlinglove short story* No feels because we all need a little bit of happiness in our lives ㋡ Starlinglove padded out from the warriors den. It was early morning, and she was hoping to see the sunrise. Watching the sun bathe the beach with a beautiful gold and pink light is one of Starlinglove’s favorite things to see. She had been watching the dawn ever since she sat vigil to become a warrior and seen the day break on her first day as a true Shellclan warrior. On that day Starlinglove had vowed to be like the sun. Alway’s shining even when’s there’s a cloud. Warm and comforting after a hard leafbare. Flaming and harsh in battle. She had come a long way since that first day as a warrior, but Starlinglove knew that she would hold that message with her for the rest of her life. She crept out of camp and raced towards the Spindly Crag. For the past few moons, Starlinglove had been scoping out the best place to see the sun, and the Spindly Crag had the best outcome. She slowed down when she saw the large rock. The sky was still inky black, but flickers of pink and orange were beginning to become visible above the trees that belonged to Breezeclan. Starlinglove held her breath in anticipation. All of a sudden the sun burst from out behind the trees, and bright, brilliant colors streaked across the sky. Gold, pink, blue, and lilac. Starlinglove gaped at the sky. No matter how many times she saw this, it would never get old. She relished in the fact that perhaps she was the only one in Shellclan that truly appreciated how stunning the sunrise was. She let the warm light wash over her, and she felt calm. Even though life was stressful, filled with bad tempered cats, and challenges to maneuver, Starlinglove always knew she would be able to find peace doing the things she loved. The sun began to climb higher and higher in the sky. Starlinglove walked back to camp. Appreciating the subtle breeze, the warm sand, the smell of the ocean. All of it. Starlinglove rather enjoyed being a Shellclan warrior, and she would trade nothing else in the world for it. While on her way back Starlinglove hunted at the wet beach for crabs so her time outside of camp wasn’t seen as a missed opportunity to catch prey. When she arrived back at camp, she discovered that the dawn patrol had already been sent out. That meant the clan would be waking up soon. She dropped her crabs in the freshkill pile and settled outside of the warriors den. She would wait for her clan to wake up before eating anything. That’s what a good warrior did, and Starlinglove strived to be the best warrior possible. Even though there were a few hiccups, and morale was often low, Starlinglove thought of the sunrise, and how powerful and meaningful it was to her, and that always kept her on track. Helping herself, and the cats around her. The camp begin to show signs of life. A couple of warriors headed out of the den. Starlinglove nodded hello to each of them, who nodded back. She looked over to the apprentice den, and saw her apprentice, Emberpaw, emerging from the Apprentice den. She smiled to herself, and got up to go greet her apprentice, and start a fresh day of training Remember to see the positive side of things, even if things seem hopeless and dark. <3
