"Squirrelkit NO!!" Greywing raced over to her dead kit. The kits fur was soaked and mud caked from the landslide the kit lay motionless a trickle of blood running down her cheek. " My kit come back!" Greywing crumpled to the ground licking her kits scruff " why did you have to go!!" Stonekit and Russetkit stumbled over to their mother horrified to see their dead litter-mate Russetkit resembled her sister with russet fur and green eyes with tutffs of furr on her ears, Stonekit looked like his mother dark grey with blue eyes and tuffs of fur on his ears. " Mom..is squirrelkit gonna be okay?" Stonekit said slowly padding forward to sniff his sister. Greywing looked at him with stoned eyes "she is dead my son.." Greywing swiped a furious claw out into the air growling. " and we'll never see her again so don't ask!" Greywing huffed and lay down her eyes glistening with tears.Russetkit padded forward and licked her mothers ear " Mom I love you it's okay..." Greywing licked Russetkit's shoulder and beckoned to Stonekit she nestled them close to her. " I am sorry my dears..this landslide was unexpected." the cats lay their and looked at the abyss scared and sad..shivering Russekit suddenly saw her sister white with their father next to her. they nodded their heads and touched Russetkit suddenly they were gone and never came back even as Russitkit wailed for them Greywing didn't hear the wails for she exhausted and cold and wet and hungry had died. Stonekit saw his mother's body and then sniffing her and prodding her the kits wailed and started to cry Russtkit looked at stonekit his eyes drooping his breath shortening running over to him she licked him several times breathing heavily Stonekit laughed "I..I am okay.." Russetkti nodded and they sat together sad and afraid.
