These fireworks are a mix of both sprites and pen. There are five different shapes for the fireworks: Willows, Whistlers, Bursts, Swerve, and Ellipse. Each has its own properties that can be changed to provide different effects such as a twinkle effect, other colors, and a second explosion. There is almost an infinite number of combinations. If you want to make your own display, the instructions are inside in the Tutorial sprite. (It is not done but I think you can figure out how it works by reading what I wrote.
