Hi, and welcome to opinions. I'll be making episodes on this account called opinions which is basically short opinions on topics. Today, I bring you, art theft. Art theft on any website, is horrible, people stealing art from another person and claiming it their own is horrible. Especially when the person put a whole month work of effort into it. And then it just get's taken by other people. In this case on Scratch, (Since Im the founder of LCAT) I've noticed a lot of art thieves are in denial, and deny the fact they stole art. It is a fact when people have proof, and when they do, they still deny it. These people are just small scratchers who make some weird or normal projects, and just make friends and play along with the community. These scratchers think stealing art is probably okay and are shy about showing their true art style. I understand that, but stealing art is wrong. If your art got stolen, how would you think? Yeah, so do don't steal art. So what is considered art theft? If a person doesn't know that it's a person's art, like let's say they look it up, they wouldn't know it belongs to an artist. And then everyone in the art/animator community bashes them and forces them to change their profile picture or something something, and the person is just threatened. Maybe even death threats, just horrible threats. This is the part that isn't right. People in the art/animator community are threatening people that PROBABLY/MIGHT not know what they're doing. No one is just going to calmly tell them the problem?? And if it's an ignorant person, they're probably not going to listen to angry people. In bullying, and really most things, if you get mad at the person bullying/being mean to you, they're just going to laugh and throw pie in your face and keep bullying you. So don't get mad, it just gets you in trouble. You might even punch them, and they will tell the "teacher" and you could get banned. So don't do that with any person. I've noticed that on a person people were spreading awareness on: @Hoeboi1234 I believe. So many people were like STOP BEING MEAN but this person isn't going to stop if you just witch hunt and don't use your brain. Honestly, it does tend to get annoying. So back to art theft. In conclusion, gather up as much proof as you can first, then CALMLY using your brain, tell them that it isn't right. And they'll probably change it. We don't need 1,000,000,000 people screaming at them. it just lowers their self-esteem and who knows, maybe they have problems IRL. Sorry, that was long and my spelling and grammar were bad, but cya soon. Check me out on !
