PLEASE READ PROJECT BEFORE READING DESCRIPTION. Thx. This is project two. First project link is here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/405158176 Alright. So after explaining those things, (that I did in the previous project) I have a question for you. Do you think peace is hard? Let me explain. God blesses us with all these things, the ability to love, the ability to forgive and forget. To sacrifice, to have empathy, to trust, etc. It goes on forever. But all those things are hard for us to do. It’s hard to love someone when they are mean to you, it’s hard forgive someone if they wronged you, and hard to forget all the sins people have done, it’s difficult to make sacrifices, even good ones, it can be hard to have empathy when sympathy is not present, and it’s hard to TRUST, when we’ve been left before. All those things, we are blessed to be able to do, but it’s still really hard to do them, and it takes a lot of selflessness. So what about peace? Peace is well, peace! Is peace hard to have? The way that love and trust are? We can look at peace like something that not everyone has, but if you do have it, then you are LUCKY, and you get to not be stressed or sad, you can just be at peace with the world. But that’s not how peace works. Take this example, this is a story that my father told me once, and now I will tell it to you. someone sees two friends drawing, they go up to each of them, and tell them to draw “peace” so, excepting the challenge, the first friend draws a person relaxing on the most beautiful beach, with a drink in their hand and not a care in the world. Peaceful right? But the other friend, she draws a STORM with thunder and lightning, and trees falling over, and puddles of mud. That’s not peaceful... but in the middle of her picture, on a broken tree branch, there sits a bird that doesn’t care about the storm, who isn’t scared, or stressed. That little bird is sitting singing the same song that it sings every beautiful sunny day. That’s real peace. And I think the other friend, when they saw her drawing, thought how does that bird have peace when nothing around it is peaceful? Well let me say, it’s not easy. That bird in her picture, chose to have peace through the storm. That bird tried to have peace through the storm. We need to TRY to have peace through everything in life. And through God, we will succeed. And it IS hard, but this verse says: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” The world will give us reasons to be stressed, but God has overcome the world. And he gives us a reason to TRY to be peaceful. Any opinions on that? What do you think of that verse. Do you think it’s possible to have peace? Even though the world does make it hard? And do you think it’s worth trying, that even if it doesn’t just appear out of nowhere, that it’s worth trying to have peace?
This is the last part of my piece on peace. Please read up there first, and then this once you finish. Thank you. And God bless! Okay, now I’m gonna move on to the last part of the lesson. And to start it, I’m gonna bring up part of a bible verse “Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.“ God comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort others who are having a hard time, with the comfort that God gives us. (I love that verse so much!) And I’d like to tie that to the peace that God gives us. Because God blessed us with peace, to comfort us in the midst of the storm. And because he did that for us, we should use that peace, to comfort others in the midst of their storm. Because everyone has a storm that they need to survive. And not everyone knows God, or is a child of Christ. So we need to show them how to be his people, and show them the peace that God gives us. Agree? This verse: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” —John 14:27 Is a great verse to show people. If you tell someone, God can give you peace, that nothing in the world can give you, that they have no reason to be afraid if they trust God. Well, that’s one of the greatest things you can tell someone. And I’m gonna pull up yet another bible verse: “ For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” The reason I brought that up is because it basically says that the word of the lord is our greatest weapon, and when you take the actual words from the Bible, it does more than just saying something nice. So giving someone that verse about peace, is bound to be one of the greatest things you could do. Peace is something we should share, because it’s an amazing thing to be blessed with. And with that I will end all my different views of peace. But before I ask questions, does anyone have any questions for me? Please comment! And never forget: God loves you more than you could ever imagine. So go out and love him back!! God bless you all! +++ <3
