PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS! It addresses a really big issue on scratch. 2.0. Everyone wants 2.0, 3.0 isn't any good, why replace a perfectly good thing? Because of a few reasons. First of all, Adobe Flash. It won't work after the end of 2020, so a new version of scratch was needed, written in HTML5, meaning it would be able to operate for a lot longer. Why don't the scratch team just turn flash back on then? They CAN'T. It's not that they don't want to, they are actually unable to let adobe flash work after December, cutting off users of Microsoft Edge. The second reason is Mobile Devices. Another issue with flash, this new HTML5 version means that EVERYONE can use it. But don't you need to like, download HTML5? No. No you don't. Have you ever visited a website? I think you probably have because you're reading this. The scratch website was made in HTML5, so you HAD to use it in order to be here in the first place. I know I'll get a lot of hate for making a project that supports 3.0. But without 3.0's arrival, scratch wouldn't have been able to keep running. I hope you understand now -15howarthlew
