This is an audio visualizer. Listen and watch, with your sound on and headphones out. Florence Price (1887-1953) was a Black American classical composer. A few months ago, I heard a recording of her Symphony #1 in E minor (1932), and it quickly became one of my favorite pieces of classical music, so I wanted to make a Scratch project about it. I find the 3rd movement especially joyful. The title of the movement is "Juba Dance," after a style of dance that enslaved people brought from West Africa. I think my favorite moments of this movement are when the slide whistle comes in-- can you hear it? If you like this, I'd recommend listening to the whole symphony, which you can find here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/9s4yY_A2A2k/ Warning: You might get it stuck in your head!
This may be my first audio visualizer! I tried lots of different methods of visualizing, but ultimately went with something pretty simple. I may add more later.
