Cookie was living happily with her parents because Cookie was a half Cottontail and half Hare. She liked it that way. When their leader found out, both her parents were killed.Her leader was going to kill Cookie too.Tears filled her eyes.Cookie ran as far as she can.Without looking, she ran into a pool of tar, but she got out (somehow). That explains the markings on her hind legs.Cookie started to starve.She hasn't eaten for 3 days.Cookie came across Miss Nathan's Orphanage. She knocked on the door and waited.When Miss Nathan opened the door,she asked Cookie where her parents were.Tears filled her eyes.Cookie hated to go back into her sad memories, but she didn't have a choice. It's do or die. Miss Nathan welcomed Cookie after she heard that tragic story. Miss Nathan gave Cookie some food so she wouldn't starve.
