This DTIYS is now closed! Results can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/416461877/ Looking for a new contest to enter? I'm hosting a 400+ DMHYIM here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/417680731/ First, I'd like to say that followers are not the reason I do Scratch. It's so awesome to know that so many people appreciate the content I post, but Scratch is about much more than the people your content reaches. I'm not saying I don't appreciate all my followers. I'm so grateful for every one of my angels, but I'd just like to point out that that's not the reason I'm hosting this. I'm holding this DTIYS because we could all use a little celebration in the midst of a miserable pandemic. Last week (I think that's when it was...), I held a vote asking my followers what I should do for 70+, and I got a lot of DTIYS requests. Since then, I've made it past 100! Onto the contest... What is a DTIYS? DTIYS stands for Draw This In Your Style. Basically, I've created a character, and you have to redraw it in your style. Rules (yes there are rules): - you have to love sushi - the first rule is a lie - read through ALL of the rules - the second, third and fourth rules are true - no tracing, stealing, etc. - this is a no-brainer but I still feel entitled to mention it - no blood, gore, must follow the Community Guidelines, etc. (again, this is a no-brainer; there's no blood or gore in the original design, so idk why yours would have any either) - I'll probably continue to update you with my opinions of the rules throughout the whole thing... - if you are planning on doing a full-body, she is wearing black and white converse (high-tops) and her overalls are shortalls (they fit like shorts rather than pants) - even if you don't consider yourself an artist, still enter! I'd love to see your entries, and this contest probably won't have very many entries, so you definitely stand a chance, no matter what you think of your art - don't put yourself or others down, all art is amazing. It's a matter of interpretation <33 - don't take it seriously if you didn't win; there are so many incredibly talented artists on Scratch and I chose based on effort, detail, and... well, that leads us into our next rule - ig I'm not updating you with my opinions anymore... - incorporate the word 'bananas' into the instructions or notes and credits of your project - 99% of this will be based on effort and detail, the other 1% will be personal preference -HAVE FUN! You may be more likely to win if you... - add an interesting pose - change the hairstyle (put it in braids, bun, etc) - add a little animation If I've done an AT with you and requested that you draw this, but you would still like to enter, let me know! I'm hoping to add another character, but idk if I'll have time rn and now the part you've all been waiting for... prizes! 1st place - a bust, a follow, 7 loves, 2 faves, shoutout on my pf for a week (oh jeez am I going to be able to do all that??) 2nd place - an icon, a follow, 6 loves, 1 fave, shoutout on my pf for a week 3rd place - an icon, a follow, 6 loves, shoutout on my pf for a week 4th place - a follow, 5 loves 5th place (if there are even that many entries lol) - a follow, 5 loves All other participants - 4 loves Questions? Feel free to leave a comment!! Character - Art - Coding - Music - Changed the music bc my sister said it was awful, now that I've changed it she says that the old music was 'not bad'.
