Usually point scoring is up to the judge, but mostly it goes like this; If you have a good fact, (facts are what you research to support your argument.) you get a point, you have a good refute, you get a point. However, for every time you say 'um' or 'I think', you get a point taken off. The team with the most points win. Now usually you don't get to choose what side you're on but for this it's different. For your facts you have to have the source down for were you got that fact.
