Use the spacebar or right arrow to continue, press the left arrow to go back! Here's the YouTube video that taught me how to knit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esEtUaa-Pwg How to knit: Step 1: Make a slipknot - Take the end of your yarn. Put your finger under the yarn, making sure there's at least a finger's length of a tail. - Twist the yarn with your finger, then pull the working yarn (the long piece) through the loop you've made. - Pull the tail to tighten it Step 2: Put the slipknot on the needle - Make sure to pull the tail to tighten it Step 3: Cast on - Stick the needle on the right under the slipknot (which is now on the left needle). Make sure it's in the back. Keep your needles crossed! - Wrap the long string around the needle on the right (the top of it should currently be on the left though!). Make sure to wrap it from the left to right! - Stick a finger inside the loop on the left needle. Them, stick the right needle through that loop (from top to bottom!). Finally, push the right needle up, which should result in two little loops that meet in the middle. - The resulting loops will look messy! That's okay, it will not affect what you're knitting. - Stick the left needle under the loop on the right, then pull the right needle out. Step 4: Knit - Repeat steps 3A-3C (NOT D), then pull the loop off the left needle. - Repeat these steps until all of the stitches are on the other needle. Then start over on the other needle. - Repeat step 4 until you get the length you want! Step 5: Cast off - Repeat step 4 twice (so that there are two stitches), then pull the bottom stitch off the needle (it's okay! I was scared to as well but it doesn't mess anything up). - Repeat until there is one stitch left. You can tie the tail to that stitch if you'd like! Let me know in the comments if you had any issues! Thanks!
