b r o he looks like he's 12,,, he's not 12 im sorry he's like 20 but i'm too lazy to find a way to fix it anyways this is my dude Maun from the Broken Promises rp,, he's a dragon-shifter. fancy right No,, I didn't draw these myself, I traced them from @-Windshine-'s dragon lineart and @CrossbredManiac s human lineart... then I sent them to @ElenaSera so she could edit them a little and actually make it look almost presentable... because I don't know how the heck to draw... but those three did terrific jobs with the art that I did nothing but color, soo.. tHank ThEm!1!! yes, he looks like a girl. he is well aware of that fact and he's very self-conscious about it, don't judge him, it ain't his fault he's too broke to afford a haircut. Also, storytime abt the neck scar: when he was, like,, a smol kiddo, he used to vibe outside of town with his grandma bc she was also a dragonshifter and she could be.. yknow.. helpful? but since no one liked dragons due to the whole "murder rawr fire pillaging villages" thing, they had to be sorta secretive about it, so they'd only change forms and fly around and stuff at night after getting pretty far from the city. bUt. Anyways, when he was abt 10, some weirdness happened that I'm too lazy to get into and this other random kid in the area found out that Maun was a dragonshifter. Uh oh. Turns out, Random Kid's older brother got toasted by a dragon, like, a year ago or smth when he was chilling near the mountains, so Random Kid was pissed. He stole his dad's dagger and tried to ambush Maun to kill him. Since Random Kid was 10 and had no idea what he was doing, though, Maun got away with only the scar, and his family had to yeet a ton of money at Random Kid's family in exchange for their silence. Random Kid & Fam moved away after that, but Maun's family was sort of broke. And also sort of mad at him. So,,, F in the chat. Anyways, back to the og backstory, he just vibed and kept the shifting a secret from everyone except his family- meaning his parents, grandmother, and twin sister. Grandma died a few months before the whole Random Kid fiasco, so Maun was unhappy about that and got more careless with where and when he was changing, hence Random Kid finding out. But anyways. His parents had a lil carpentry thing that they ran by themselves, and they didn't have much money, but enough to live by. His dad would carve stuff and his mom could paint it up to look all nice. She made him a lil dragon pendant thing once, but he doesn't wear it bc it's sort of a giant target, so he just keeps the wooden part in a pocket or smth. Okay, I keep getting off track. So. When he was 12, his parents got sick and died. Oof. He and his sister were yeeted at their aunt, but their aunt didn't want a spoopy monster dragon child, and his sister didn't want to stay with her if she wouldn't take Maun, so they both ended up on the streets. Way to go, guys. They sorta just dropped out of school like the hobos they were and tried to make money legally. Didn't work out too well. Maun's sister eventually just up and left the town to have better luck elsewhere. Maun vibed as a homeless person for like 3 more years. Then he somehow landed himself a house thing by being pathetic at some rich people. Aaand then he p much just gave up on getting a job and started stealing and reselling stuff. Our dude here has been doing that ever since. Good job buddy.
