--------------FULLSCREEN RECOMMENDED-------------- Welcome to Dungeon Escape, a challenging platformer complete with collectibles, locks, moving platforms, moving walls or spikes, portals, and many other things! Please read all of the instructions so that you know how to play, they should answer at least some questions. Click the flag twice. Arrow keys or WAD to move Down arrow or S to slow down. Avoid spikes, lava, and getting hit by moving platforms. Blue lets you jump higher. The green portal takes you to the yellow portal. Space to open trapdoors and flip switches. Shortcuts (bars/cages) disappear after you collect the appropriate gem or key. If you die, you go to the checkpoint flag you reached most recently and lose all unsaved gems and keys. Save points (the weird lamp things) save all gems and keys you have collected when you touch them, but do not save your position like a checkpoint would. Gems and keys are also saved when you hit any checkpoint or use a key to unlock a door. In order to unlock a door, you must first collect all gems that can be collected without having unlocked that door. There are several shortcuts that appear when you collect items such as keys. Collect orbs for an extra challenge! Orbs are saved automatically when you collect them. Press Z to acquire a save code, then hold down X after you have copied the code. Press the "Load" button to load a previous game (using a save code).
Proposed to be featured by @gosoccerboy5 7/22/2020 All code and art by me! Some inspiration from Legend of Zelda dungeons. Kind, constructive feedback is greatly appreciated. Time taken: 3 weeks/40+ hours Blocks used:1800+ This is my entry into @corpcooga's 1000 follower contest. @magazine did some of the testing for this game. Don't the tiles just look fabulous? You can create your own levels using them here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/408974052 ------------------------TIPS AND TRICKS----------------------- Always slow down before moving into a new room, it can be hard to stop in time and many of the levels require careful maneuvering. Some parts may seem impossible, but there is often a clever solution. Every level with the light blue temporary platforms has a button in it to create them again, so there is no need to rush. If you need to take a break, simply press "Z" to get a save code. You can then copy that code and paste it somewhere (like on your profile or in an unshared project) and then start playing again later. Challenge: Beat the game in under ten minutes without pausing. You have to time yourself. My record is eight minutes.
