To see your current impulse output, refer to the meter at the bottom left of the screen. If it is pointing directly up, your impulse engines are neutral, if it's off to the left you're moving backwards, and if it's off to the right you're moving forwards. Use the up and down arrows to increase and decrease impulse speed respectively. - Decreasing speed past 0 will result in going backwards. - WARP DRIVE - Build up warp power by holding the W key. Once the warp indicator bar has increased past warp 1, press the space bar to engage warp drive. Use the W and S keys to increase and decrease warp factor respectively. To leave warp, decrease the warp factor to below 4 and press the space bar to disengage warp drive. The ship will stop. - Increasing warp power above warp 4 without engaging warp drive will cause a core breach and destroy the ship. Engaging the warp drive before powering it up will cause a core breach and destroy the ship Increase Warp: W Decrease Warp: S Toggle Warp Drive: Space Bar - WEAPONS - The light at the top left indicates whether your weapons are armed. If it is flashing green, they are armed. To toggle weapons, click that button. When firing weapons, aim with the mouse pointer. Toggle Weapons: Top-Left WEPNS button (click it) Fire Phasers/Disrupters: 1 Fire Photon Torpedoes: 2 Fire Quantum Torpedoes: 3 (not all ships have these) - ESCAPE POD - Press E to eject the escape pod.
