@--EmberRock--, this account was made only to get fame made by @StrikeM, @--Art4Fun--/@crazy44spider, and @xxscienceboyxx for an experiment to help Scratch, but sadly, the experiment failed due to demotivation, poor planning, and events that happens on Scratch. (And also, @--Art4Fun-- is @crazy44spider) NOTE: There is quite a bit to read here, so I ask of you, if you are not going to read all of it, READ SECTIONS 3 and 4 as their are the main take aways here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 1. The Purpose of this Account The purpose of this account was to inform people of easily broken generic platformers can get popular on Scratch. Most of the time it is simply a few steps: 1. Used overused assets or uses assets made by someone else 2. Steal a platformer engine from someone, then give little to no credits 3. Share the project, then go to ONLY popular/random Scratchers' profiles and ask for feedback 4. If your project is good enough, they will love and favorite and then you do not need to do anything! Just watch as the views and loves go up! 5. Add them to random studios We wanted to see how easy it is to do that and we found that we ended up spending a lot of our focus and time, just advertise instead of following the feedback and improving our project! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 2. Why did this failed? It failed for a few reasons: Generally speaking, after we started our first project, Polytopia, we were kinda burned out and had a hard time coming with a good idea to get famous again. In addition, one of the reasons a lot of generic platformer makers get popular is because they post very quick, which helps them stay on trending longer. We did not think about this and that is why we started to faded into irrelevances Finally, at and -RISEN- both made projects about and they got pretty popular, making this experiment very unneeded. (Note, we are NOT mad at them for making their project, we were actually really happy) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 3. What do you do when you see a Generic Platformer? When you see a platformer that you deem generic, DON'T comment something like: "This is so bad and generic." The creator will usually just take it as hate and just ignore it. A better thing to do is list a one or two positives that you found and give some feedback and explain how to fix any problems with their project. In addition, if they do not give credit to art/code the used, then tell them NICELY on their profile. If they delete your comment, then report the project. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 4: I do not like but I do wish that we unique creative projects got on to trending! Well, I got to hastags for you: and POP stands for promote original projects and was a studio made by . IT is all about helping more unique projects get noticed and get the attention they deserve. Some stuff about Polytopia Polytopia was the project we made that got a huge amount of fame, here is some things about it. Credit: We did not add credits to the project to see if it would be taken down, noting how popular it is. In the end, it never did. So here is credit where credit is due: for the platformer enigine for part of the death animation for the movement of the skip and reset button Mario for the sound effects Polyformer, by for the orginal inspiration (Sadly, their account now deleted) Polyformer [Unfinished] - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. What now? Well, it would be nice is people share this story and understand the point of this account. Also, feel free to unfollow this account. As of the sharing of this project, the account got 350 followers for a single platformer. (This is just for memory, not to flex or anything like that) This account will mostly likely be inactive for the most part. Also, if you find a grammar mistake or two, please do tell, as there is probably a lot. for some inspiration for the art.
