The issue was it was setting variables to the nation number, instead of the variable list. Experimented with troops. Mon Jul 20 2020: Made troops work better. The player now won't be able to expand into enemy land, but after war is added, will be able to invade. Aug 8 2020: Added war message by text engine. Added country name by text engine. Removed country name for technical reasons. Added cities, but I need to add renaming them and making it so that you can only place it in your territory. Aug 12 2020: Randomized enemy city names. Made it so they require and consume iron and coal. Need to make mines an investment, because you can just spam them. Aug 15 2020: Added bombs. You can now attack and destroy cities! Fixed bug with enemy not making cities. Aug 26 2020: Made a fill algorithm for annexing enemy territory, but I need to implement annexing the enemy. Aug 28 2020: Made it so that the enemy only has once capital. Implemented annexing the enemy if they have no cities. Made it so that you can't expand without ships. Aug 29 2020: Bugs Fixed: Structures being able to be placed anywhere, player and enemy expanding over water, the first time you expand it expands where you don't want it to go, mines and factories look like cities when the capital is changed.
