This smart speaker isn't so smart, but it does play white noise! Press the green flag to start, then the purple dot in order to switch sounds.
I didn't want to make a game today, and so I wondered how to make something that used "random" that might be useful. During pandemic, I've been having a hard time sleeping (incessant fireworks...general anxiety about the future...), so I thought I'd make a white noise machine! I was inspired by @ricarose and the Nano-doro timer, as well as @karenb's box obsession. The white noise is generated from random atmospheric noise. A struggle I had was figuring out what kind of speaker to draw; I tried a classic rectangle before but couldn't get all my lines to be correctly parallel, so it seemed super skewed. I also wasn't quite sure how to create the interaction in ways that were beautiful and smooth. A success I had was with the drawing + watercolors, which are becoming easier with time and practice!
