Name: Pepper Design: Minty Kitty Gender: Female Personality: Skittish, jumpy, very alert, she is traumatized from memories of what her human did to her. She's friendly towards Beetle, however, she can be slightly distrustful towards her at times. Backstory (WARNING! Mentions of abuse, death, and blood ahead!): The dark, murky forest was cold and foggy. The creaking of branches could be heard as wind swept through the night. The trees were tall and large, with long, enormous branches sticking out like lightning across the sky. Hiding underneath a low-hanging branch was a frightened, exhausted, starving cat. She had escaped from an abusive human and had run off into the forest. She had been traveling through it for a few days now. She regretted what she had done. She probably should have stayed. She was more in danger of dying out here than there. Her memory was a bit fuzzy about what had happened. All she remembered was feeling through with the pain her human put her through, and then... next moment the human was dead, and there was blood on her claws and fur. Pepper decided it was time to start moving again. Rising to her paws, she let out a fatigued sigh, then continued through the forest. |Why did I do any of this?| she wondered. |I knew I would be facing a treacherous journey if I left. And why did I /kill/ the human? Why is this happening to me?!| She weaved her way through the trees, deep in thought. But then, suddenly, something lunged out and slammed into her. “AAAAAAAAAARGH!” she screeched, flailing out her paws. She felt her attacker spring away from her and let out a hiss. Scrambling to her paws, she found herself face to face with another cat. “What was that for?” she spat. “What are you doing here?” the stranger demanded. “I'm... I'm just passing through,” Pepper explained. “I ran away from some terrible humans, and now I'm lost.” “I can guide you out of here,” the stranger said, straightening up. “Even with this fog, I know my way around. What do you say?” Pepper was so exhausted that at this point, it seemed well worth the risk to follow some random cat somewhere. “Okay,” she replied. They walked through the forest in silence for a while, until the stranger spoke up. “What's your name, by the way?
